Pre-Order Policy
How pre-orders work at Toylicious Kids.
Pre-orders let you reserve items we don’t currently have in stock. Because we’re a small shop sourcing from wholesalers, pre-orders help us bring in the products you actually want without sitting on excess inventory. Here’s how they work.
What Is a Pre-Order?
A pre-order is a purchase you place for an item before it has arrived in our warehouse. When you pre-order:
- You commit to buying the item.
- Payment is collected upfront at the time you place your order.
- The item ships or is ready for pickup once our stock arrives — typically 3–4 weeks after the pre-order window closes.
Pre-Order Timeline
Every pre-order item has its own ordering window with a clear closing date. Once the window closes:
- We place the bulk order with our wholesaler.
- Stock typically arrives within 3–4 weeks, though timing depends on the supplier.
- Once stock arrives, we process and ship your order or get it ready for pickup.
- We’ll email you with delivery or pickup details as soon as it’s ready.
If there’s a delay beyond what we’ve communicated, we’ll email you with an update.
Payment
Pre-orders are paid in full at the time you place the order. We accept e-transfer, with the order number included in the e-transfer message field.
Cancellations & Refunds
Once a pre-order is placed and paid, it cannot be cancelled or refunded. By placing a pre-order you’re committing to the purchase.
The one exception: if we cannot fulfill your pre-order — for example, if the wholesaler runs out of stock — we will refund you in full.
Combining Pre-Orders with In-Stock Items
You can order pre-order and in-stock items in the same checkout. In that case:
- Your in-stock items will ship or be ready for pickup within 1–5 business days.
- Your pre-order items will follow once stock arrives.
- If you’ve selected pickup, you can pick up each part of your order as it’s ready.
Soft Orders Listings
Occasionally we run feeler listings — items we’re considering bringing in but haven’t committed to yet. Here’s how they work:
- You place a soft order to indicate interest. No payment is collected yet.
- The feeler closes on a set date.
- If we secure stock, your soft order converts into a pre-order and we email you to request payment. You have 24 hours to pay or the order is automatically cancelled.
- If we can’t secure stock, all soft orders are cancelled and you’re notified — no obligation on your side.
Soft orders can be cancelled by you any time before they convert to pre-orders.
